About the Fair

A Proud Hamilton Tradition Celebrating Agriculture, Homecraft & Community Spirit Since 1854

The Binbrook Fall Fair, hosted by the Binbrook Agricultural Society, has been a cherished rural celebration since 1854. For more than 170 years, families, farmers, neighbours, and visitors have gathered in the community of Binbrook—now part of the City of Hamilton—to honour agricultural excellence, homecraft traditions, and the lasting values that continue to shape the region.

A Fair Rooted in Early Settlement & Rural Heritage

The Binbrook Fall Fair began when Binbrook was a small farming community surrounded by fields, woodlots, and concession roads. Local agricultural societies played a key role in supporting pioneer families by sharing knowledge, improving livestock, and encouraging community cooperation.

Early fairs featured livestock judging, crop competitions, handcrafted goods, and demonstrations of homesteading skills—cornerstones of rural life that still enrich the fair today.
