About the Fair

A Proud Bruce County Tradition Celebrating Agriculture, Homecraft & Community Spirit Since 1971

The Walkerton Little Royal Fair, presented by the Walkerton Agricultural Society, has been a vibrant and cherished part of Bruce County’s agricultural heritage since 1971. Built on strong rural traditions and deep community pride, the fair was created to highlight the achievements of local farm families while offering a royal-themed celebration of agriculture, youth, and homecraft excellence.

A Fair Born from Community Vision & Rural Tradition

The fair began during a period of renewed community enthusiasm for agricultural education and youth involvement. Designed to be a “little royal” counterpart to larger exhibitions, it created an opportunity for young people, families, and local producers to showcase livestock, crops, and creative homecraft work in a welcoming, community-first environment.

From the beginning, the fair has embraced its royal branding, colourful themes, prideful displays, and an atmosphere that celebrates the agricultural heart of Walkerton and the surrounding townships.
