About the Fair

A Bruce County Tradition Celebrating Agriculture, Homecraft & Community Spirit Since 1880

The Tiverton Fall Fair, proudly hosted by the Tiverton Agricultural Society, has been a cherished celebration in Bruce County since 1880. For well over 140 years, the fair has brought together rural families, neighbours, and visitors to honour agricultural excellence, creative homecrafts, and the strong community spirit that defines Tiverton and the surrounding region.

A Fair Rooted in Early Settlement & Rural Life

When the Tiverton Fall Fair first began, the village was a growing agricultural centre, supported by family farms, small industries, and community enterprises. Agricultural societies played a vital role in rural Ontario at that time—helping farmers improve livestock, share farm knowledge, and strengthen neighbourly ties.

Early fairs featured livestock judging, crop displays, preserves, needlework, quilts, and demonstrations of essential homesteading skills. Many of these traditions continue to shape the fair today.
