About the Fair
A Middlesex County Tradition Celebrating Agriculture, Homecraft & Community Spirit Since 1851
The Ilderton Fall Fair, proudly hosted by the Ilderton Agricultural Society, has been a beloved rural celebration in Middlesex County since 1851. For more than 170 years, families, farmers, neighbours, and visitors have gathered each autumn to honour agricultural excellence, showcase homecraft traditions, and celebrate the strong community spirit that continues to define the Ilderton area.

A Fair Rooted in Early Settlement & Rural Heritage
The fair began during the mid-19th century, when settlers were building farms, forming crossroads communities, and shaping the agricultural landscape of London Township. Agricultural societies played a vital role in fostering community ties, helping farmers improve livestock, share new farming methods, and strengthen local cooperation.
Early fairs featured livestock judging, crop competitions, grain and vegetable displays, preserves, quilts, sewing, and demonstrations of essential homesteading skills, traditions that remain proudly preserved today.
