About the Fair

A Simcoe County Tradition Celebrating Agriculture, Homecraft & Community Spirit Since 1853

The Beeton Fall Fair, presented by the Beeton Agricultural Society, has been an essential Simcoe County tradition since 1853. For more than 170 years, the fair has brought together families, farmers, neighbours, and visitors to celebrate agricultural excellence, rural creativity, and the strong community values that shaped Beeton’s history.

A Fair Rooted in Early Settlement & Village Growth

The Beeton Fall Fair began during the mid-19th century, when settlers were establishing farms, mills, and shops across Tecumseth Township. Agricultural societies played a central role in helping families improve livestock, share farming knowledge, and strengthen rural cooperation.

Early fairs featured livestock judging, field crop competitions, handcrafted goods, and demonstrations of essential homesteading skills—traditions that remain central to the fair today.
